Meet Ketmanee Whitlock
The heart and soul of Edify Salon
Starting out as a independent hairstylist in 2006, Ketmanee Whitlock founded Edify Salon and Extension Bar in 2020 and focused on developing a team. Not only did her newly opened salon survive the COVID Pandemic without any government assistance or COVID Aid, it thrived and she grew the salon numbers from 112K in its first year with a steady incline to 353K at the close of 2023.

​2023 was a year of growth and recognized achievements. Ketmanee was featured in an article in the Knoxville Voyager Magazine in May 2023 and received the Gold Business of the Year from the High Performance Salon Academy in July 2023. In November of the same year, Ketmanee was a Speaker at the KOSBE Women's Luncheon where her discussion of Overcoming Toxic Workspaces has been an eye-opener to the luncheon's guests. She also received the award for Distinguished Business Excellence 2023 from KOSBE, Kingsport Office of Small Business Entrepreneurship.

Tune into leadership. Ketmanee has been a guest on the Johnson City Living Podcast last December of 2022 and on December 2023, she was a guest on The Impact Ripple Podcast sharing about Team Culture. She has presented several Keynote speeches to her local business community in both Southern California and East Tennessee. Topics include; How to lead your team with an "Everybody in the Boat" mindset and "Happy Team, Happy Life". Her gift in actualizing what Gen X, Gen Y (Millennials) and Gen Z really want in a work setting just might be the secret sauce... or is it?

​Ketmanee's brilliance and work in the beauty industry have been acknowledged as she had been inducted into the Marquis Who's Who Biographical Library, an organization founded in 1898. Marquis Who's Who chronicles the lives of the most accomplished individuals and innovators from every significant field of endeavor, including politics, business, medicine, law, education, art, religion, and entertainment. ​​
